TUSCALOOSA OUTDOORS
In the Woods
For the U of A student who enjoys hunting, Tuscaloosa has an abundance of wildlife. Whether your calling up a turkey
or looking to kill that monster buck, Tuscaloosa provides for great hunting opportunities. The Tuscaloosa area
has plenty of hunting clubs for those students that are looking for a place to hunt. You can look for these hunting
clubs in the classifieds or go to one of our local outdoors stores. However, for those students who want to spend
some money and hunt just one day, here are two links for per day hunts.
Westervelt Lodge - 10,000 acres of land located on the Tombigbee
River in west central Alabama.
Leavell Wood - Located in Greene County, Alabama, 45 miles southwest
of Tuscaloosa.
Another place for students to hunt without paying hunting club dues or per day prices is public
hunting land.
Alabama Divison of Wildlife and Fisheries -
Variety of hunting topics discussed; 2001 hunting regulations, determining a deers age, wildlife management areas,
maps of public hunting lands, etc.
Thank you for visiting my page and hopefully the information can help you find a place to hunt.
