TUSCALOOSA OUTDOORS

(Lake Tuscaloosa)
Thank you for visiting our web page dedicated to University of Alabama students. The sport.htm page is dedicated to those students who love the outdoors. Many students are unfamiliar with the Tuscaloosa area, and are unaware of Tuscaloosa's natural and man made waters, such as Lake Tuscaloosa(pictured above) and the Black Warrior River(pictured below). Along with the fish filled lakes and rivers, Tuscaloosa has an abundance of wildlife living in its rich forests. However, before venturing into the forest or out onto the lake, whether it is to hunt, hike, or fish, you need to visit one of our local outdoor's stores. Either Woods & Water or Outdoors Unlimited can outfit you for whatever your outdoor adventure might be.

FISHING

For the U of A student who enjoys fishing, Tuscaloosa has plenty of opportunity, whether its fishing for that huge catfish or that trophy bass. Tuscaloosa is located on the banks of the Black Warrior River, which provides great fishing. Along with the Black Warrior River, the Tuscaloosa area includes five magnificant lakes:

HUNTING

On the other hand, for those U of A students who prefer the woods to the water, Tuscaloosa has plenty of hunting opportunities. Click the picture below for more information on hunting the Tuscaloosa area.
